Useful Tips to Promote Your Multifamily Tech Amenities

It’s great when you have a cool clubhouse with lots of fun and innovative tech amenities. But how do you let your current and prospective residents know how cool your tech is so they take advantage of it? In this blog we offer several tips to help you promote your property's tech amenities.

TIP #1: Make Sure You ‘Taco-bout’ Technology! 🌮

It’s great when you have a cool clubhouse with lots of fun and innovative tech amenities. But how do you let your current and prospective residents know how cool your tech is so they take advantage of it? We do it with Tacos of course! Our motto is, if you got cool and fun tech, flaunt it and drum up excitement for your tech amenities. After we setup and install clubhouse technology at a client’s property, we schedule and promote a free tech training afternoon with full Taco bar for current and prospective residents. We also schedule a "refresher" training and promotion day, 6 month to a year later. We coordinate with the leasing team to promote this training day on all of the property's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).

During this event, we offer free tours, demos and also record YouTube instructional videos, so you can show prospects why your clubhouse is totally awesome and give them a great reason to sign a lease with your property. Check our recent Linkedin post with more photos from our Taco Tech Training day with our client, Spectra Student Living, at one of their new communities, 830 Water Tower in Big Rapids, Michigan.

TIP #2:  Promote Your Amenities with YouTube

Most property management companies have Instagram and Facebook pages to promote their properties, which is great! I am curious though 🧐 How many you reading this blog have a YouTube channel setup for your properties? If you don't, you should! Did you know that Millennials watch more online video than traditional television (Read the Forbes article HERE). Creating a YoutTube channel is an easy and effective way to promote your property and educate current (and prospective) residents on how to use your technology amenities. Here is an example of an instructional video we recently created for our student housing client for their property, 830 Water Tower in Big Rapids, Michigan. Links to videos like these can be sent out to residents before they move in, or can be used in promotions to future prospective residents.

Do you have cool multifamily technology amenities that you want to show off, but don't know where to begin? Hosting an open house event for your properties is a great way to promote and train current and future residents. Setting up a YouTube channel and uploading the training and promotional videos from the event is a great way to market to prospective residents.
